My inspiration behind developing this section of the website is the Facebook group Reviewer 2 Must Be Stopped. I’ve been very fortunate to have an excellent Graduate Training Program through James Cook University, where we are taught the basics of:
- Choosing quality journals
- When to panic during a submission process
- Referencing with ease
- Peer reviewing
However, it’s become apparent that my training is not the norm. In the below, I’ve developed some guides on how to navigate some of the common questions of academic publishing.
Please note – I am not an expert in this. I am simply another PhD student sharing their experiences. If you’re like me, and wanting to publish for your PhD – please use your supervisor and institution as your first source of help.
